2013 Portage Prom Fashion Show | Harlem Shake | Photo Booth
2013’s Portage Prom Fashion Show will be talked about for years to come. If you missed the 1st show but caught intermission and the 2nd show you were in for a treat.
The second show started out with the dj getting the crowd pumped up for the hosts of the evening along with clapping along for the first few student couples. That energy continued flowing as the models came out to many upbeat songs like Gangnam Style, Thrift Shop, and Bangarang. All the models were invited back to the stage to join in on the last song of the evening, the wobble. A surprise was added to the end of the show, the Harlem Shake, in which is still pretty new to everyone.
This year’s benefits from the Portage Prom Fashion Show went to the Riley’s Children’s Hospital and Portage HOSA. Brandon Vickrey and Collin Czilli did an awesome job hosting the show, especially when changes and the harlem shake was added last-minute, as did the theatre department led by Mr. Giese.
Intermission allowed the parents and students to visit the vendors: Dunhill Tuxedo’s, Louie’s Tux Shop, Paris House of Bridal and Fashion, 219 Photo Booths, Salon Diva, Hair Designs by Heather Schnelle and the Don Roberts Beauty School. The photo booth line stretched the length of the vestibule, luckily we had plenty of time before the 2nd show to get everyone in and out in a safe and efficient manner.
