2nd Annual Fist Pumpers Ball – New Years Eve Party
John Paris and Joe Catlow really set the bar for New Years Eve parties with the 2nd Annual Fist Pumpers Ball. The Halls of Justice in Crown Point, Indiana was completely transformed with 2012 balloons, balloon center pieces, hats, noise makers, a huge video screen, uplighting in the corners and fog to compliment the disc jockey’s lighting.
A megamix by Daniel Kim, Pop Danthology 2011, was played at 11:50. The top 50 hits of 2011 were mixed into one 6-minute megamix by Kim. There was a custom 4-minute countdown to bring in the New Year with an eagerly awaited champagne toast at midnight. To kick off the New Year, DJ Segal played Flo-Rida’s “Good Feeling” , a remix of Avicci’s “Levels” which samples Etta James “Somethings Got A Hold On Me”.
The Great Escape was a perfect complement to Halls of Justice providing an upscale lounge atmosphere where people from the Crown Point square came to have some drinks and “crash” the 2nd Annual Fist Pumpers Ball. Pizza, veggie trays, cheese, crackers, and other finger foods were plentiful.
After the disc jockey ended at 2pm, the crowd dispersed onto the Crown Point square. My question is how do we raise the bar for future New Years parties?
