Amy and Bill’s Wild Party | Ambassador Banquets | Hobart, IN | DJ

Amy and Bill’s wild party at Ambassador Banquets in Hobart was a fun filled celebration with friends and family who enjoyed an evening of dancing, drinks, food, and hilarious shenanigans. The DJ kept the party jumping all night long with surprises from the toasts to the last song.

In the hall, red roses decorated a five tier frosted cake with delicious red velvet and Bavarian creme inside, an out-of-this-world taste sensation that was spotlighted by the DJ. In the back of the room a photobooth gave everyone a chance to take hilarious pictures on a strip, then leave one for the bride and groom and take a copy home to treasure.

 

Dinner was a delectable family style meal of chicken, mixed vegetables, beef roast, polish sausage and kraut. The matron of honor’s toast was a resounding success as guests laughed and smiled at her rendition of “I’m Slim Shady”. As part of the interaction with the crowd she had everyone shouting repeatedly, “so in love, so in love”.

After dinner was finished, the dance floor became the place to be as “not so traditional,” traditional dances took place! Amy danced with her father to the song “dad you’re my hero”, while a recorded toast about her dad was mixed into the song. The bridesmaids all hit the floor and did a funny dance to a Taylor Swift song instead of a wedding party dance.

 

The anniversary dance took place after, with the winners being married 43 years. The garter wasn’t removed, the groomsman came up and tapped Bill on the shoulder as he was on a knee, dragged him back and Amy’s brother gave him the garter. Following the garter toss was a bouquet toss for the ladies and angry bird to toss for the kids! A mother-daughter dance happened and other mother-daughters were invited to join. The chicken dance was played (a family tradition dedicated to Uncle Dave), and Captain Zoom put together a song for Amy and Bill which was a yearly birthday tradition on Amy’s birthday.
