Dan and Amanda’s Charming Country Reception | County Line Orchard | Hobart, Indiana | DJ Service
Dan and Amanda’s charming country reception was a sight to see at County Line Orchard in Hobart, Indiana, with a photobooth, uplighting, string lights, monogram and DJ Service.
It was a beautiful day out, as guests arrived at County Line Orchard to be shuttled by tractor to a lovely ceremony on the grounds. The bride and groom exchanged their vows and hearts, then took photos as guests filtered back into the chic and warmly decorated barn. String lights zig-zagged across the room, lighting the warm hues and bringing a dreamy elegance to the reception. Uplighting changed color, as a monogram spelled out Dan and Amanda’s name on the floor and the barn wall. Guests enjoyed cocktails and delicious finger foods like bruschetta, salsa, and fine cheese and crackers before the grand entrance.
As the wedding party entered the guests sat in anticipation, and one by one they came in while being announced by the DJ Service. The crowd went wild as Dan and Amanda entered, hands intertwined, Dan sporting a pair of shades. Immediately they walked over to the white three tier cake with wire name topper and cut it.
Toasts were made, as the bride’s mother and father spoke about Dan and Amanda’s love, and various family members gave good wishes. The bride’s cousins even sang a little song in celebration of the union. A blessing was given, as salad arrived followed by family style dinner. Chicken, pork chops, mashed potatoes and vegetables dotted the plates of hungry guests. The centerpieces were elegant and simple mason jars with flowers, surrounded by giant Jenga pieces that guests could leave well wishes and advice on for Dan and Amanda. Country charm was everywhere, with distressed windows decorated with sayings on the glass, and clothesline photo hangers.
The dance floor opened with Dan and Amanda’s first dance, where they tenderly kissed while highlighted with spot lights for the whole crowd to enjoy. Parent-child dances followed and then the dance floor was jumping all night long with a custom light show. Guests enjoyed a fresh mix of modern and fun songs sprinkled with country and oldies. An anniversary dance was held, where the winners had been married over fifty years. They gave their advice to the newlyweds in the form of “never go to bed angry” and exchanged hugs. Later in the night glow sticks made an appearance on the dance floor, the DJ throwing them out to happy party goers who were churning out some sweet moves on the dance floor
“Turn down for what” dance offs erupted and the garter and bouquet toss was a “ball.” Amanda tossed her bouquet to “Single Ladies” and Dan wrapped the garter around a football and launched it into all the single “linebackers” on the floor.
The photobooth was there the whole time, with country-chic wooden doors for the background. Three photos on a burlap design strip allowed guests to use funny props all night to take sweet and funny photos. They took home a memento strip and left a message with a strip for Dan and Amanda in the memory book to cherish for years to come.
The party went until midnight, when guests ended the night by swaying to the song “closing time” in one huge circle.
