Janet and Dave “Take The Plunge” |The Allure|La Porte, Indiana|DJ
Janet and Dave “took the plunge” into marriage at The Allure in La Porte, Indiana with dancing, DJ, great food, cocktails and a photobooth.
Janet and Dave said “I do” in the elegant chapel basement of The Allure, while friends and family watched the short and sweet nuptials take place. Janet was dressed in a lovely gown of lace with a keyhole back while Dave was in traditional black and white with a spark plug boutonniere. The ring bearer (their son Max) was dressed in a mini tuxedo looking dapper too.
With a kiss to “seal the deal”, the bride and groom retired to take photos while guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and music. Upstairs centerpieces spotted the tables. Flowers in an oil can, flowers in a toolbox with spark plugs, and a few other options added a cool feel to the night. The DJ was playing 80’s rock music upstairs as guests seated themselves at their tables with bookmark guest cards.
A photobooth sat ready for guests to use after dinner ended. Funny props like tiaras and horse masks laid out for everyone’s use. The strip was a grey and coral design with four photos. A strip would print for guests and one for the memory book. Dinner was bistro sirloin and herb roasted chicken chardonnay with potatoes and asparagus.
The lavender spotted cake stood in the center highlighted by the DJ as Janet and Dave cut cake and the bridal party made toasts.
The bride and groom were spotlighted once again during the first dance, kissing and lovingly embracing. Father-daughter and mother-son dances followed quickly after. After those dances the wedding party came to the floor and urged party goers to come out and shake a tail feather. The rest of the night was spent dancing into the wee hours.
