Kate and Brett “Break a Leg” Wedding | Center for Visual and Performing Arts | Photobooth
Kate and Brett got a standing ovation for their love from friends and family who attended the ceremony and reception at The Center for Visual and Performing Arts with dramatic drapery, DJ, uplighting and a fun-tastic photobooth.
The ceremony was held inside at the Theatre of Performing Arts. Friends and family were given a “wedbill” instead of playbill as they entered and were seated for the ceremony. Loving vows were exchanged and the party moved to the venues hall, which was clad with purple everywhere. Centerpieces made of upside down wine glasses with candles lit the room with ambiance.
A candy table was there to offer sweet treats to all, featuring Now and Laters, gummie bears, bulls eye carmels, purple jelly bellys, licorice, chocolate covered nuts, hard candies and personalized “L” stripped bags to put it all in. On the cake table a simple and sweet cake sat surrounded by the words “I Do”, painted in purple.
The groomsman, (who all played ball together) all received personalized “Valparaiso Vikings” footballs as gifts. A marry me pumpkin was on the gift table that Brett used when he proposed to Kate, sending a smile across the face of all who saw it. The photobooth was there to capture memories all night long with fun but simple props like glasses and props on a stick. The photos were printed on a purple strip featuring the newlyweds name and date.
Personalized chalkboards with stories about the bride and groom told how they met, proposed and were spending their honeymoon. Delicious appetizers were served before dinner, chicken wings, and quesadillas. Dinner was family style mashed potatoes, sirloin, Italian sausage with mostaccioli, chicken and veggies. Late night snacks made their way into everyone’s bellies in the form of pizza, giving the guests fuel to party even more.
