Kelly and Derek Rhinestone Wedding| Swan Lake Resorts | Uplighting
A personal celebration was in store for guests of Kelly and Derek when they arrived at Swan Lake Resorts. Tractors, singers, snowmobiles, Go Pro cameras, uplighting, candy, sliders and more helped create a perfect reception.
It all started outside on a perfect day of sun and clouds. Guests sat in white chairs and enjoyed the cool breeze as Kelly and Derek tied the knot. Bacon wrapped scallops, bacon and jalapeno fritters, and stuffed mushrooms were served butler style with cocktails before a light drizzle finished off cocktail hour.
Moving inside for the reception, guests were awed by the centerpieces, uplighting, fitted chair covers, and fluffy table coverings. After the wedding party entered, family and friends were amazed by the flashing uplighting for the grand entrance of the newlywed couple.
The best man put together a slideshow with pictures of Kelly and Derek growing up and their engagement video. The video showed Derek and Kelly getting onto the same snowmobile, sledding up the mountain, and Derek proposed on one knee at the top all captured with a Go Pro camera mounted on Derek’s helmet. The Go Pro Camera and helmet made a cameo appearance during the dollar dance recording the action as family and friends danced with Kelly and Derek.
Some other notable key players were Michael J. Perkins singing for dinner, Emily Laraine of Emily Laraine Photography snapping the moments of the celebration, Ken Strong capturing the video, Kelly’s dad singing “Family Tradition” late at night, and an aunt who put together the candy table and grooms cake. The candy table was full of heart shaped cookies, chocolate dipped oreo cookies in the shape of a wedding cake, M&Ms, strawberry salt water taffy, strawberry puffettes, cotton candy jelly beans, tutti fruity gumballs, and more. The grooms cake was a red and white Case 305 tractor with led headlights.
