Life Long Vows | Silver Lake Country Club | Uplighting
Jessica and Brad proclaimed their life long vows on Mother’s Day at Silver Lake Country Club of Orland Park, IL escaping the rain with a chocolate fountain, uplighting, lots of line dances, a Wedpics album, and some words of wisdom.
The ceremony took place on the patio outside as birds were chirping, the waterfall splashed, and the sun was diffused by the clouds. The patio also served as backdrop for photos and perfect for cocktails and catching up with friends and family.
Once inside, guests signed the picture frame guestbook and left a date idea along with words of wisdom for the new couple. Light Blue uplighting surrounded the room and blush pink highlighted the head table. The centerpieces were upside down martini, champagne, and drinking glasses with flowers on top and around on the square mirrors.
Dinner was a family style feast including chicken, sliced prime rib, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables after soup and salad. The chocolate fountain full of rice treats, marshmallows, bananas, pineapples, oreos, graham crackers, apples, and strawberries were a great compliment to the white and chocolate wedding cake with a whipped cream frosting.
Everyone felt included as mother and son along with father and daughter couples joined Jessica and her father and brad and his mother on the dance floor during the traditional dances. Open dancing started off with a sweetheart dance to a record by Phil Collins.
Other memorable moments on the dancefllor include the Alligator Dance to “Taking Care of Business,” the garter toss as the groomsmen surrounded Brad for a private garter removal, and a train around the room with sombreros and maracas.
