Lorien and Adam’s True Love | Munster Theatre Wedding | DJ
Lorien and Adam sat amongst their friends and family members at the head table after 8 years of being together. Dancing non-stop with the DJ, baked goods, uplighting, a Scottish tradition, and photo booth came together for a remarkable wedding reception experience at the Munster Theatre.
Figs wrapped in turkey bacon, Italian stuffed mushrooms, mini quiche lorraines, caprese skewers and more were passed in the atrium for cocktail hour as guests arrived. Upon entering the reception, guests used their Hershey candy place cards to find their seat in which was covered in white with lavender sash. Each seat had a dinner menu that matched the place cards and photobooth photo strips.
Lorien’s grandfather opened the toasts talking about the mahogany box that was front and center on the head table. He has been making personalized gifts for over 50 years now. This one was more of a diorama with pictures of parents marriages on the walls, the upstairs glass had pictures etched in the glass, and other trinkets about Lorien and Adam’s lives together.
Lorien’s father toasted and brought out a small cup. It is known as the Quaich, a Scottish cup that has two handles that way one knew the person receiving the cup was unarmed. It is used to celebrate marriage and welcome people. A whiskey was shared by the parents and wedding party as a nod to the couple in “true love.”
Following the first dances, the DJ was graced with a dance floor that never emptied until the lights came on. Outside, a warm summer night was perfect for a cigar on the patio. Candy bags of M&M’s, Hershey’s Kisses, Swedish Fish, Andes mints, orange slices, malted milk balls and saltwater taffy were filled in the bar. The family’s home baked ginger-jasmine, lemon, banana, and chocolate cupcakes and pies of blueberry, apple and pecan were enjoyed by all.
