Mallory and Demetri’s Enchanted Forest| Avalon Manor | Uplighting

Mallory and Demetri transformed the East Hall of Avalon Manor with slices of trees, branches, candles, chair covers, and purple uplighting creating the enchanted forest feeling.

White and chocolate cupcakes sat atop stumps of assorted sizes and heights while surrounding a 2 tier white cake graced with leaves. Centerpieces were candle lit vases on slices of wood stumps and branches were sliced diagonally with numbers on them  for the table numbers. Sparkly table overlays glistened in the flicker of candle light. Boxes of  Jordan almonds  were wrapped in  ribbon as a favor with the almonds being bitter and the outer sugar coating being sweet symbolizing the bitterness of life and the sweetness of love.

Purple uplighting washed the walls as white chair covers with purple sashes gleamed. The head table glowed from the under table lighting as branches broke up the mural behind it. Lit wine bottles outlined the bar and lit jars surrounded the place cards and seeds. The seeds were a favor that read – “plant these flowers and watch them bloom just like the love of the bride and groom.”

Buffet style appetizers consisting of cheese and cracker tray, Italian sausage with onions and peppers, and assorted mini quiches was accompanied by bruschetta served butler style. Salads and plated meals were served as the 2nd and 3rd course. For dessert was the cupcakes accompanied by a huge dessert table full of greek pastries like Kormo, Karidopita, Kourambiethes, Ravani, Troufes, Baklava, and Finikia.
