Manasi’s Colorful Sweet 16 | Uplighting | Indian American Cultural Center

Manasi’s Colorful Sweet 16 took place at the Indian American Cultural Center in Merrillville, Indiana with color changing uplighting and dj services provided by 219 Productions.

As guests arrived they were greeted by a glowing table which held the appetizers and later the Indian and Italian buffet. After signing the huge dress shaped card, everyone entered a lit up hallway into the colorful banquet hall. Color changing uplighting was used to provide an ambience in the room when the guests walked into the hall. It was also used under the dessert table, gift table, buffet line, and tunnel-like hallway into the banquet hall.

The evening started off with a bo staff performance by the birthday girl’s younger brother who is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Following the bo staff performance, a few friends sang and played the piano for 2 songs. The final performance was by a group of classmates that did a choreographed dance to the Indian/American song Jai Ho.

 

 

 

 

 

When lighting the 16 candles to represent every birth year, Manasi had chosen someone special to light each candle from her close family to all of her high school friends at the party.  Everybody then sang happy birthday, ate some desserts and ended the night with some dancing.
