Married in a Winter Wonderland | Radisson Star Plaza | Drapery
Radisson Star Plaza hotel was turned into a winter wonderland for not only the wedding reception, but also the ceremony for the newlyweds. Drapery, uplighting, snowflake monograms, snow, lit trees, a photo booth, candy table, chair covers and more all came together to create an unforgettable day.
Lighting the aisle way to a small stage where the ceremony took place was homemade lit trees that doubled as centerpieces next door at the reception. The stage was given a white drapery curtain backdrop and blue uplighting with a wall of holiday lights in the background.
Guests enjoyed appetizers and cocktails in the hallway after the ceremony and a few guests enjoyed some shots that were tossed out during the grand entrance. English cucumber wrapped salad, sliced beef with mushrooms, whipped potatoes, rosemary roasted chicken, green beans, pork tenderloin were all a precursor to the candy table filled with gummi bears, trail mix, chocolate covered pretzels, snow caps and more. The huge pill bottle favors were perfect for filling with those goodies as Will is in pharmacy school with one of his groomsmen.
Snow fell for their first dance, even though it was one of the warmest days of December. The longest married couple was days away from their 50th anniversary and the garter and bouquet were both handed off to friends Will and Jill wanted to marry next. A few shots were incorporated into the garter and bouquet to keep the night toasty warm, Fireball!
Guest of all ages danced till the very end before a group photo was taken. The party didn’t stop at the reception though as it moved to a few local establishments.
