Ray and Irene had superbly decorated affair at Northern Illinois University in Naperville, Illinois. Over 50 uplights, walls upon walls of drapery, three custom monograms, ceiling drapery, DJ and photobooth, it was one amazing site to see.

What an elegant night packed with fun! With custom monograms displaying on three walls of drapery, the silver uplighting faded into mesmerizing hues of blues, greens, pinks, violets and cyans. Guests enjoyed cocktails outside and finger foods, while inside the cake table glowed with a spotlight. A sweetheart table was waiting for Ray and Irene to be seated so they could enjoy the evening in a more intimate setting.

The tables were lined with silver runners, and touches of silver were throughout the hall. A silver cake topper with two hearts shone brightly, reflecting the lighting. Center pieces were crystal towers and vases filled with glowing gel pearls.

The wedding party was announced one by one until Ray and Irene came out, grasping hands overheads to loud clapping and cheers. They headed over to the cake table right away to cute the three tier strawberry shortcake. Lovingly feeding one another, they kissed and took their seats as the toasts began.

Dinner was a buffet feast of prime rib, chicken, salmon, green beans and potatoes. Attendees munched as the maid of honor, best man, and others gave toasts, and Irene’s father gave sage advice about love and how to remain strong in the face of adversity.

The first dance took place as Irene and Ray swayed gracefully on the dance floor to Jason Mraz’s “I Won’t Give Up.” Soon after mother-son and father-daughter dances took place, causing eyes to tear up. The dance floor was opened up and guests partied all night long to the funky music and slide dances. Color changing lights caused the dance floor to look like a club, and people responded by “getting” low and even slow dancing while fog poured in so they could “dance on a cloud.”
