Ray and Patty’s Rustic Reception| Banquets at St. George | Photobooth

Ray and Patty shared their wedding ceremony and reception at the Banquets at St. George of Schererville, Indiana. Rustic decor made guests feel like they walked into a place without technology rather than the traditional banquet hall. The dessert table, uplighting, centerpieces, photo booth, and dj all contributed to their overall vision.

Burlap squares were under a wine bottle with a picture of Ray and Patty as well as a framed photo and small candles. Mason jars wrapped in burlap with baby’s breath coming out the top filled the centerpieces as branches with lights intertwined were off to the side. Light green uplighting lit up the architecture of the Banquets at St. George.

On the center of the dance floor was a 3 tier cake with the words “God Gave Me You” written on it with cowboy boots and hats as the cake topper. Dinner was a family style meal of vegetable medley, mashed potatoes with gravy, Italian sausage and mostaccioli, and fried chicken. The sweets table had M&Ms, chocolate cupcakes with white frosting, small burlap bags for m&ms, cookies, and gummy worms.

Ray and Patty chose “God Gave Me You – Blake Shelton” as their first dance. Ray was surprised by all the special women in his life as they came up to “Dance with my Father – Luther Vandross” holding a photo of him. The dj played everything from country, spanish, to ratpack keeping everyone musically entertained.

The photo booth with burlap drape was filled with rustic props like the horse head on stick and cowboy and sherriff hats. A wood grain 4×6 photo strip with 3 photos printed out for each guest to take home as a memory from the reception. Everyone had the option to do old style black and white photos or color photos to match the rustic theme.
