Saint Sava’s 100th Anniversary | Merrillville, Indiana | Uplighting
Saint Sava celebrated it’s 100th Anniversary with a joyous celebration including dancers, delicious food, a photo booth, monogram, and elegant uplighting.
The evening started with a blessing of the new hall, followed by an buffet style spread of food for attendees to indulge in. Chevaps, hotdogs, coleslaw, bread, potato salad, pleskavice, and palacinke were all served. Desserts were cookies and many types of pastries.
Elegant golden uplighting washed the walls in regal hues. As guests walked in they were treated to a lovely full color monogram celebrating the anniversary. A photobooth sat in the hall snapping memories all night long of guests.
The adult choir sang festively as guests clapped along after the Jr. choir opened the evening up with a few songs and the American National Anthem and the Serbian National Anthem. Dancers of all kinds were entertaining throughout the night. Peewee dancers, Jr. dancers, and Adult dancers put on a show for everyone.
A live camera feed displayed on big screens allowed everyone to see a candid look at the nights events while munching on food or talking. A slideshow also ran on the big screens, showing the churches history and past events. A band played all night long, many different kolos for people to dance too.
