She’s the One | Shaun and Kristen’s Wedding | Centennial Park | Uplighting
Kristen and Shaun defied the weather as they were surrounded by family and friends at a very personalized wedding ceremony and reception with uplighting at Centennial Park.
Programs and custom imprinted glasses were handed out to block out the sunshine that was highly unlikely all afternoon as the weather looked bad all week, even the morning of the wedding. Kristen and Shaun quickly and lovingly said I do as they kept their ceremony under 5 minutes on the terrace of Centennial Park.
Getting a break from the sun and heat, guests entered the reception hall to a cheese and veggie tray as they lay their drink on the custom foil imprinted Kristen and Shaun bar napkins. The gift box was a house with Kristen and Shaun’s names on the doorstep between a couple pictures. A 3 tier tall shite cake with a cream cheese filling was highlighted as the centerpiece of the dancefloor.
We found out that Shaun said a few kind words “She’s bad*ss, She’s perfect, She’s the one” to the best man about Kristen when they started dating. Opening up dancing with “We Are Family” family members packed the dancefloor for an unforgettable evening.
Later on Kristen stopped Shaun’s garter removal with a foot to the face as the dj played “Can’t Touch This.” One young man was on another’s shoulders and caught the garter. Kristen then threw the bouquet over the single ladies heads and had a redo for her toss.
Dance floor uplighting changed colors, glowsticks were passed out, dance offs took place, a group photo on the dance floor, and even a couple sing alongs happened throughout the night too. The White Sox won the second game of their weekend sweep as “Don’t Stop Believin’” was played.
