Last Saturday’s wedding at Chateau Del Mar in Hickory Hills, Illinois seemed to have a purple haze due to the uplighting. The bride said “I absolutely loved the lighting!!! You did a wonderful job and very professional. I did get a lot of compliments from all my guests.”
Jessica and Colin’s wedding reception at St. Eljiah Serbian Orthodox Church in Merrillville, Indiana took place on August 25, 2012 with a family created slide show, uplighting, and a photo booth with custom photo strips.
The Blue Dress Barn created a rustic and charming space for the Florek-Wallin wedding in Benton Harbor, Michigan with a live band, photo booth, and monograms above the hay loft doors.
The Croatian Center located in Merrillville, Indiana is a luxurious wedding reception hall with a large bar, enormous stage, and wall of windows. The private bridal suite, a gazebo, and a backroom called the Cro Bar make sure a rainy day will not mess up your dream wedding.
The food is provided by Dimitri’s Catering. Family style ham, beef, and chicken was very appetizing as I had a chance to eat. The managers take care of their honored guests of the evening and seem to do a great job at keep the place running like clockwork.
If you have more than 200 guests, your disc jockey and/or photo booth can be on the stage. If you have a smaller guest count, use the drapery there to place a gobo or monogram. Uplighting can complement any event and the chandeliers on the walls make a superb accent.
Being located just west of I-65 on U.S. 30 in Merrillville, Indiana, the Croatian Center is close to many hotels and nightlife. For the out of towners, Southlake mall is located just miles away with many other attractions.
Best of all having only one ballroom and able to accommodate 35-350 guests, you are sure to be the only wedding there that day.

Centennial Park in Munster, Indiana was host to a very colorful wedding ceremony and reception of Mr. and Mrs. Schillaci – Hofer having a photobooth and disc jockey.
The Zemen – Steyer wedding was full of fireworks and uplighting at Wicker Park in Highland, Indiana, on a beautiful summer night.

Every year a group of friends get a party bus and head up to Chicago for an evening of partying. For the last two years DJ Segal has had the privilege of providing the mixes (music) for the party bus ride.
