Friends of a Lansing not-for-profit organization came together Friday night at Villa Cesare to celebrate a year of accomplishments. LARC, which provides developmentally disabled adults with an opportunity to work, live and participate in their community, held its annual Appreciation Dinner and entertained a little under 300 guests with the evening’s program, uplighting, camaraderie, raffles and music.

Fondant American Flag Cake - AVMRA HammondA spaghetti dinner benefit for Douglas Rachowicz showed the communities support and generosity for an American Hero. The event was held on March 24th, 2012 at the American Legion Post 232, Hammond, Indiana.

The eagle riders, a U.S. Senator,  AVMRA Chapter 1 (American Veterans Motorcycle Riders Association) and many others came out to support Rachowicz, a local veteran from the 713th Engineer Company out of Valparaiso, Indiana who was the only survivor from an IED (improvised explosive device) blast January 6th in Khandahar, Afghanistan.

Munster’s Center for Visual and Performing Arts, also known as  The Theatre at the Center hosted a large crowd for LARC‘s Annual Appreciation Dinner. The night included a variety of raffles and auctions, a slide show, awards ceremony, and dinner. 219 Productions filled the room with uplighting and a disc jockey provided the music and master of ceremonies services.LARC's Annual Appreciation Dinner Welcome Sign
