Chicago White Sox – Chicago Fire Department – Stadium Club – US Cellular Field – Comiskey Park – Chicago Illinois – Disc Jockey Uplighting
My dream came true when I got the chance to be the disc jockey (and do some uplighting) for the Fire Chief of the Chicago Fire Department at the Stadium Club of US Cellular Field, or what many know it to be Comiskey Park, for the 2005 World Champion Chicago White Sox.
Not only did I get to perform in my favorite baseball teams stadium, I also had the honor of trying on a 2005 Chicago White Sox World Series ring courtesy of the room captain in charge of the Stadium Club. That night the White Sox had an away game against the New York Yankees in which Chicago smashed the Yank’s 14-7 adding to the party.
The Chicago Fire Department Bag Pipes escorted President Obama (ok a cardboard cut-out) and Fire Chief Clifford “Satan” Boyce into his going away party after 34 years of service at the Stadium Club of the Chicago White Sox US Cellular Field.
BBQ was on the menu for dinner. Starting with some Caesar salad, corn bread and rolls, followed by a loaded mashed potato bar and mustard baked beans. A couple of executive chefs sliced roasted turkey breast, smoked beef brisket, and honey cured ham. For dessert we had warm cookies and brownies, along with a chocolate fountain.
Obama had a few dances later in the night and some “satan” horns also made their way around throughout the night.
Hand rolled cigars were courtesy of CF Dominicana. Many people had a cigar rolled fresh for them that they could buy in a store the quality is so high (for the cigar aficionados – grade 1). Mount Top Productions put together a video collage of funny clips of Chief and shout outs from the fireman of Chicago fire houses.
The Chicago White Sox Campout also took place down on the field that night. Many people had a chance to play on the outfield for hours and then sleep out there too. Thunderstorms ended their party a little early and the fans slept inside.
