Emily and Brian’s Perfect Day | Lighthouse Restaurant | Disc Jockey

The first thing Emily and Brian said when they walked into their wedding reception at Lighthouse Restaurant was that they were having the perfect day and that continued into the evening with a Blackhawks win, and eventually their 5th Stanley Cup Championship.

Lighthouse Wedding PicturesAs guests arrived upstairs at Lighthouse Restaurant they were greeted by Emily and Brian. They then signed a calendar on their birth date which replaced the traditional guest book. Guests were also able to browse pictures that were clothes pinned to a giant picture frame.

In lieu of a traditional highly decorated wedding cake, there were three pound cakes at different elevations below a vinyl monogram on a window with a breath-taking view of Cedar Lake. Many tables had blue letters on them that took the place of table numbers. Guests used the letters to spell out words for pictures too.

Late into the night as everyone was dancing, they had an apron dance where Emily’s mom gave her an apron to wear symbolizing her becoming a wife. Everyone joined and danced around the bride and groom singing along as the disc jockey played “Let Me Call You Sweetheart.”
