Perfect for Each Other | Merrillville, IN | Up Lighting
They aren’t perfect, but they are perfect for each other. Avalon Manor of Merrillville, Indiana was converted into a Caribbean Paradise with blue up lighting and drapery for the ceremony and reception.
The ceremony took place under an illuminated archway with a straight white drapery backdrop covering the mural behind the head table.
Azure light filled the room from the up lighting and the sapphire hue accented the silver chair covers. Indigo even adorned the candies and the chocolates on the candy table. Every where you looked blue was found. Aqua colored flowers gave life to the cake, and looked great on the bridesmaids and groomsmen.
During the grand entrances, the uplighting strobed a cyan blue celebrating the bride and grooms grand entrance. The best part was after the dollar dance and formalities, when the up lighting started to change colors with the mood of the music. The bride led everyone in a follow the leader type train where everyone mimicked her dance moves.
There was also many slides and a few large soul train lines. The garter removal had everyone’s attention as the groom danced around in a fedora to “Suit and Tie” with backup singers.

The day of the event he took the time out and displayed what the lights would look like. After our first meeting I knew for sure that I wanted to have the up-lighting and drapery at our event. The professionalism, value of the lights and demonstration was all important to me. Mr. Segal even checked with me to make sure everything was perfect. He did an excellent job and I would recommend his work. Very pleased with our up-lighting and drapery.
