Strongbow Inn | Valparaiso, IN | Uplighting
A last minute call came in and we met a few days before the wedding. The mother of the bride wanted to add a little touch to the back wall with a small budget. Uplighting or drapery were two great options we explored at Strongbow Inn.
We met up the next day and took a look at the newly renovated Strongbow Inn as the mom was stressed out a couple days before her daughters big day. The following day we met up and tested some wireless uplighting colors and designs to compliment the color scheme and wine theme. Once we had everything in place, a weight was lifted off her shoulders.
24 hours later, it was time for final setup and wow, was I amazed. Mom really did a phenomenal job with her color scheme and overall design, probably the best I’ve ever seen. Pictures, at least our hobbyist photos, don’t give the decorations the recognition they deserve.
Different colored sashes with the ivory chair covers, colored liquids in the large wine glasses, matching ribbons and grapes on the oversized wine glasses, the custom designed wine bottles with table numbers coming from the top, and a picture of the newlyweds adorning each table were all thought up and prepared by the mom.
The unique wedding favors of charms to put on wine glasses were a very personal touch. The place cards had M&M’s inside them, making something that is usually boring and wasted into a fun and sweet idea guests could enjoy. They made their own photo backdrop, used a wine barrel to hold the cake, and a wine barrel to give some dimension to the photo backdrop.
